Welcome to Team Swire Shipping Integrity's fundraising page for Adventure Race Japan 2025!

Our team name pays homage to one of Swire Shipping's core values of Teamwork, Excellence, Humility, Endeavour, Continuity and Integrity. We are three adventurers from diverse backgrounds and with different perspectives within the company, who are passionate about supporting our seafarers across the globe.

Captain Vimar began his maritime career in 1993, inspired by the seafaring legacy of his family. During his time at sea, Capt. Vimar has worked with a variety of vessels types and navigated diverse routes across the globe, and in 2009 he was promoted to Master. One of the defining moments of his career was in 2012 when he played a key role in rescue operations during the m.v. Rabaul Queen ferry disaster. His efforts, contributing to the rescue of over 230 lives, were globally recognized by the receipt of the Lloyd's Global Award in the UK. While on shore leave, Capt. Vimar enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and horse riding.

Andrew Connell recently celebrated 20 years in the shipping and logistics industry, beginning his career as a cadet fresh out of studies with a focus on ocean and air cargo in the freight forwarding industry. Since 2013, Andrew has managed several large-scale industrial logistics projects across Australia and the Pacific Islands, and he now leads Swire Shipping's Integrated Logistics division in Papua New Guinea where he lives with his wife and two young sons, aged 4 and 1. In his free time, Andrew enjoys hiking, travelling, music and photography.

Sandra Xu has worked in shipping finance for 17 years, the last 3 of which have been with Swire Shipping. Sandra lives in Singapore and has a son who's just commenced his first year at university, and when not at work you can find Sandra travelling the world, soaking up new experiences and making the most of life.
